Youth Philosophical Workshop

The Youth Philosophical Workshop emphasizes practical and experiential approaches, focusing on contemporary issues relevant to young people. The Workshop utilizes critical and open-minded thinking to tackle everyday challenges.

It is common for young people to face challenges when integrating into activities that are primarily led by older generations. They often seek their own spaces to share similar perspectives and communication styles. Youth is characterized by enthusiasm, energy, and dreams, yet it usually lacks the life experience to navigate challenges and solve daily dilemmas appropriately.

The purpose of the Workshop is not to offer pre-made solutions; instead, it aims to explore the deeper roots of various issues through constructive and equal dialogue. The goal is to uncover functional and original ways to move forward.

This Workshop is not about delivering sterile lectures from a podium. Instead, it focuses on a dialectical exchange of views and direct, friendly communication that transcends stereotypes and prejudices.

The Workshop’s monthly meetings are open to all young people aged 19 to 25, and entry is free. The facilitator is Ioannis Avgoustatos, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist and the founder of the Spiritual Activism Movement “Light in Action.”
